Days: Please indicate the days of the week that your event occurs.
Tip: If your event occurs every Friday and Saturday for several weeks, use the start and end dates to indicate the entire timeframe and the days of the week to indicate the specific days your event occurs.
Category: Choose the subject matter of your event. At this time you may only choose one category type per event listing.
Tip: Want your event in multiple subject categories? Once your first event has been accepted by the system, use your browsers back button to retrieve most of the information previously entered onto the Add Event form. This tip works best with Chrome, but we have had limited success with Firefox too. This tip does not currently work with Internet Explorer. We suggest that you limit your categories to (3).
Event Title: Please enter the title of your event.
Web Description: Please enter the entire content of your press release or the long form of your calendar listing.
Tip: Use the button to import your press release from Word or another text editor. This will retain most of your original formatting including live web links, bold and italics.
Tip: This is an online only description. It will not be edited or cut for space. There is plenty of room here to fully describe your event.
Print Description: Please enter a MAXIMUM of 50 words that describe your event.
Tip: Just provide the information a reader may require to understand what your event is about. Be brief.
Tip: You do NOT need to include the information listed in the Facility/Venue section, the Event section, the Date/Time, the Category or the Event Title as they will be available to print editors. Please only provide the information a reader may require to understand what your event is about.
Tip: Do not format this description in any way. That formatting will not be used in print.
Facility/Venue Information
Name: Please enter the name of the facility or venue where your event occurs.
Street Address: Please include the street address of the venue.
Tip: Online users will be able to see a map of your venues location if this field is properly used.
Location: Choose a New Hampshire town from the drop down list provided.
Tip: There are a few selected towns in Massachusetts at the bottom of the drop down list.
Tip: For New Hampshire statewide events choose the Statewide option. Also please use the word Statewide in both the venue and address fields.
State: This field defaults to New Hampshire.
Tip: Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts are also valid selections. You may and choose selected Massachusetts towns from the dropdown list in the Location field. For events held in Maine or Vermont please include the entire street address (including town) in the Street Address field and choose other form the drop down list in the Location field.
Event Information
Free: Indicate if your event is free to the public.
Cost: Indicate in 25 words or less how much your event costs.
Contact name/Phone Number: Please enter the name (if applicable) and phone number of the person reader's should contact with questions.
Email: Please enter a valid email address where readers can email with questions.
Organization:
Web site address: Please enter the entire URL of a valid web site
Web Site Title: Please describe the website.
Tip: For example, if you are providing a link to an online registration for a Nashua Library event you would title the web site 'Nashua Library event registration'.
