3rd annual Holiday Farmers’ Market just in time for Thanksgiving
Want to server your Thanksgiving dinner guests something fresh and delicious? Check out the 3rd Annual Holiday Farmers’ Market at the Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford on Saturday, November 21.
From 10am - 2pm there will be more than 40 farmers and food producers who will be offering plenty of seasonal and everyday favorites.
These local farmers and producers will be selling everything from beets, broccoli, and brussels sprouts to honey, eggs, and cheese. Carrots, and onions. Just in time for Thanksgiving are potatoes, winter squash, sweet potatoes and frozen blueberries. Locally raised meat, including beef, pork, poultry and seafood will also be available.
Like many of the seacoast’s farmers’ markets, there will be live music and activities and crafts for children. UNH Slow Food will be collecting food donations for The Cornucopia Food Pantry for their Thanksgiving Baskets, shoppers are encouraged to buy a few extra potatoes, carrots, or a loaf of bread so that all New Hampshire residents in need can share in our local bounty for the holiday.
Purchasing locally grown food directly from area growers helps ensure that New Hampshire farms will stay in business. In addition to meats and produce, there will baked goods, ready to eat meals, soups and stews, jams and jellies and more.
The Wentworth Greenhouses are located in Rollinsford at 141 Rollins Road, a mile past Red’s Shoe Barn of Dover.
