The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Greater Nashua will hold a kickoff for the annual event on January 21, 2015 from 6:00pm at Leda Lanes Glow Bowling, 340 Amherst Street in Nashua. The Society is inviting people who are interested in learning more and getting involved in the event to attend.
The kickoff program will honor cancer survivors and caregivers and feature the Society’s mission to save lives from cancer. Attendees will have the opportunity to register a team for the Relay For Life event, which will be held June 27, 2015 at Nashua North High School.
Relay For Life is a community event where teams and individuals camp out at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times and participates in fundraising that supports the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and finish the fight against cancer. Four million people participated in more than 6,000 events worldwide in 2014. Last year, over 200 people participated in Greater Nashua and raised over $43,000.
