Merry Rockmas Benefit Bash helps the American Cancer Society
HOLLIS – Local bands Eastwood Peak and Mumblefish are joining forces this holiday season to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of North Middlesex Regional High School at the 1st Merry Rockmas Benefit Bash. The concert will be held at the Alpine Grove in Hollis on Saturday, December 19 with musical entertainment starting at 8:00 pm. A portion of every ticket sold will help the Relay For Life in their fight against cancer, and a number of sponsors will be offering prizes at the event.
The Merry Rockmas Benefit Bash will feature live music from local legends Eastwood Peak and Mumblefish and there will also be a prize drawing at the event to support the Relay For Life from event sponsors:
- Pepperell Music Center - a Fender guitar signed by legendary rocker, J. Geils
- Gretchen Archambault - signed copies of her book, “Hats, Gloves, Hot Cocoa with Love”
- Life Is Local - a complete website design (or redesign) and six months of hosting
- If you are interested in sponsoring the event to help the cause, please contact Chuck Smith at chuck@lifeislocal.com.
“During the holiday season, we’ve decided to give something back to help out a cause that is near and dear to our own hearts,” said Mumblefish lead singer, Tom Powers. “Cancer is a serious issue, and the Relay For Life does a great job of getting the community and the students of North Middlesex Regional High School involved in the fight. We can’t think of a better organization to benefit during the season of giving, and we hope to see a lot of fans and friends at the Bash.”
Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.mumblefishband.com/rockmas or at the door (if available). The event is open to all ages, but minors under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
