Third Dimension is featured January show at East Colony Fine Art Gallery
East Colony Fine Art Gallery will have Bob Roy, Don Desmarais, and Michelle Beliveau as Feature Artists for the month of January with their show entitled “Artwork in the Third Dimension.” This amazing exhibit is a group effort by three of the gallery’s newly acquired artists. All three local artists work in media that make use of all three spatial dimensions.
Goffstown, NH potter Bob Roy, is presenting some of the finest raku and stoneware that the medium of pottery has to offer. Bob’s work includes functional yet highly esthetic cups, bowls, pots and wall hangings. His technical abilities are obvious, showcased by the meticulously turned vessels and exquisite glazes. This beautiful work would complement any art collection and also be quite at home on anyone’s kitchen table. Don’t miss a chance to see NH pottery at its finest.
Michelle Beliveau, also of Goffstown, is a Collage / Mixed Media artist with a unique approach to this discipline. Her thoughtful and thought provoking work deals with Feminism and Femininity from numerous angles. The roles of woman, wife, mother and resident of planet Earth are all explored in Michelle’s intriguing work. It is at once whimsical yet serious, uniquely expressing Feminist philosophy in a most positive and sometimes quite humorous manner. You will delight in viewing Michelle’s wonderful approach to the fine art of Collage and Mixed Media.
Epsom, NH Mixed Media artist Don Desmarais’ work attempts to do the impossible: contain the wonders of the Universe in man-made boxes and on irregular shaped panels. Don’s artwork is comprised of exploring the related fields of astrology, metaphysics, philosophy and biology. His pieces explore many aspects of spirituality and often times incorporate Native American motifs. Some works have obvious meaning while others are open to the viewer’s own personal interpretation.
Together they have created a show that goes beyond the 2-D plane of the canvas to create January’s showing of “Artwork in the Third Dimension”. An Opening reception will be held Friday · January 8th, 5:00 to 8:00pm. The exhibit runs from December 29 thru January 23.
