Three arrested for prostitution in Manchester

MANCHESTER – An undercover police officer arrested three women on prostitution charges Wednesday evening after each woman agreed to perform sexual acts for money, police said.
Amber McQuade, 26, Manchester; Diana Nault, 44, Manchester; and Michelle Lessard, 35, of Hooksett, were charged with prostitution Wednesday.
Police noticed McQuade acting suspicious around Lincoln and Merrimack streets around 5:15 p.m. The undercover officer spoke with McQuade, who agreed to perform a sex act for money and was then arrested.
The same scenario played out with Nault and Lessard. Nault was arrested about 5:30 p.m. in the area of Union Street and Litchfield Lane. Lessard was arrested at 6 p.m. around Union and Merrimack streets.
Police Lt. Maureen Tessier said officers also spoke to “one or two other women” but nothing came of the conversations.
She said Manchester police don’t conduct targeted prostitution efforts often but rather when the department has funding to support it.
McQuade was released after making bail, posted as $500 cash or surety, but Nault and Lessard were supposed to appear in court Thursday. Nault could not make $500 bail, while Lessard did not have bail set and was held on a previous violation of bail conditions, Tessier said.
All three women face the misdemeanor charge of prostitution.
