Devon "Doc" Wendell of The International Review of Music, commenting on the 2013 NAMM Convention Performance, described Ian's music, "Case plays a double neck acoustic guitar in a unique and percussive manner, strumming the six string side of the guitar with one hand, while fretting chords and lead sequences on the 12 string side with the other hand, over the neck of the guitar while occasionally thumping his fists on the instrument’s body, creating polyrhythms.

Johnny Winter

The Flying Monkey Movie House and Performance Center
Jul 25, 2014 - Jul 25, 2014 7:30 PM
Over 40 years ago, Johnny Winter immediately laid out the blueprint for his fresh take on classic blues a prime combination for the legions of fans just discovering the blues via the likes of Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. Constantly shifting between simple country blues in the vein of Robert Johnson, to all-out electric slide guitar blues-rock, - Johnny has always been one of the most respected singers and guitar players in rock and the clear link between British blues-rock and American Southern rock (a la the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.) Throughout the '70s and '80s, Johnny was the unofficial torch-bearer for the blues, championing and aiding the careers of his idols like Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker.

Johnny is in better form than ever, at the top of his game…..as the SOLD OUT crowd at his last Monkey show can attest….Johnny had the entire place on their feet during his multiple encore songs…Don’t miss a true living legend.
