34th Annual Candlelight Stroll at Strawbery Banke
This year's Candlelight Stroll depicts "Once Upon a Winter's Eve" in the Portsmouth neighborhood that is now the 10-acre living history museum. 32 buildings decorated to their era -- from a quiet night in the 18th century merchant's shop to a fancy Victorian Christmas in Gov Goodwin's mansion. Enjoy tavern life with live music and traditional food in Pitt Tavern, the 4th night of Hannukah 1919 in the Shapiro House, hearth-cooking in Wheelwright and carolers and costumed role-players throughout. The lanes are lined with candle lanterns and St. Nicholas strolls the grounds greeting children. 5-9 on Saturdays, 4-8 pm on Sundays.
