“Getting Started with Genealogy” subject of March Seniors Count-Nashua workshop
NASHUA – Curious about who came before you on your family tree…but don’t know where to start looking for information? The March Seniors Count Workshop will offer tips for those who want to start researching their family history. Topics to be covered include what resources are available, how to document your findings and how to keep everything organized. Ideas on what to do if you run up against a dead end will be shared. Workshop presenter is Linda Taggart, Supervisor of Reference Series for the Nashua Public Library. She will offer information on the resources available at the library and provide workshop attendees with the tools they need to start their own family “treasure hunt.” The workshop is scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Nashua Senior Activity Center, 70 Temple Street. It begins at 1:00pm. Advance registration for the workshop is requested. Please call 889-3440 x 132 for more information. In case of wintery weather, the Senior Activity Center follows the Nashua schools closing schedule. The workshop will be rescheduled if schools are closed or there is a delayed opening on March 10. Seniors Count-Nashua is a program of Southern New Hampshire Services.
