Passivehaus; Deep Energy Reduction
Come join us as we kick off our 2014 Green Eggs Series with an in-depth look at Passivehaus. You'll learn about the history of Passivehaus, its American roots, the technical components of the standard and how it compares to LEED, Net-Zero and conventional low-energy construction. Passivehaus is a concept gaining popularity most rapidly in Germany and Austria with over 20,000 completed structures. It has attracted a great deal of attention in the US in the past few years for being the possible path towards the deep energy reductions needed to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our built environment.
