To get to the party you must first take a 30 minute horse-drawn ride through the Christmas trail to the secret party location. An assortment of holiday performers and costumed characters will be on hand to mix and mingle. Sugar cookies and hot cocoa are available for everyone to enjoy around a bonfire. When you are ready to leave the party, just climb aboard "the tractor train ride" to see Santa's live reindeer.

Europe has had the tradition of Krampus, the dark counterpart of St. Nicolas, whose job is to punish bad children. Sick of being second, Krampus has taken over and he has decided to bring his twisted Christmas to Nashua NH! Cannibal elves, creepy demons and twisted Christmas spirits will make you scream and shout with holiday cheer! (or should I say, holiday FEAR?) Along with the great and scary time you'll have exploring the realm of Krampus, we will also have wonderful vendors for last minute gifts, delicious snacks, fun games of skill and even raffles for great prizes!

Spanning over two miles, the Gift of Lights is one of the largest displays of holiday lights in New England. It includes several themed displays, such as the 12 Days of Christmas, a jungle scene and a Nativity depiction. The course winds around the outside of the track's grandstands and includes a portion of the NHMS Road Course.

The Children's Museum of NH is inviting creative kids to make their own holiday gifts for family and friends. At each workshop, children can choose from three different projects to make: painted photo blocks, handprint papier-mâché ornament balls, or a pair of wooden ornaments that can be decorated. Participants pay for their project at the front desk and make their gifts in the Muse Studio. Museum staff and volunteers are on hand to help.

34th Annual Candlelight Stroll at Strawbery Banke

This year's Candlelight Stroll depicts "Once Upon a Winter's Eve" in the Portsmouth neighborhood that is now the 10-acre living history museum. 32 buildings decorated to their era -- from a quiet night in the 18th century merchant's shop to a fancy Victorian Christmas in Gov Goodwin's mansion. Enjoy tavern life with live music and traditional food in Pitt Tavern, the 4th night of Hanukkah1919 in the Shapiro House, hearth-cooking in Wheelwright and carolers and costumed role-players throughout. The lanes are lined with candle lanterns and St. Nicholas strolls the grounds greeting children.

9th Annual Currier and Ives Cookie Tour

Kick off the holiday season by participating in the 9th annual Currier & Ives Cookie tour. There are 16 stops that will bring you to Fitzwilliam, Jaffrey, Rindge, Troy, Marlborough, Peterborough, and Swanzey. Tickets are $10.00 per person, and good for all locations. The ticket includes a homemade cookie and refreshment at each stop, as well as recipe cards for the treats offered. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Hundred Nights Shelter in Keene.

James A. Tuttle Library will come alive all through December with more than 100 holiday trees, wreaths and displays. Local businesses, groups and individuals craft these beautiful displays to make an old-fashioned free holiday event. A Boston Red-Sox tree and 2 dollhouse raffles will be featured.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Lakes region First Annual Holiday Craft Fair & Bake Sale will be made possible in part by the generous donation from the Parish of St. Andre Bessette. Following the recent burglary, the club has received an outpouring of support from the Lakes Region community and New Hampshire Artisans. There is something for everyone with handcrafted items, homemade confections, and special guest, Lakes Region Musician Bill Parker will provide Holiday Music. All proceeds will be donated to the Capital Campaign at www.lakeskids.org for the benefit of the children of the Lakes Region.

Christmas Festival at Moulton Farm

Stories, tractor rides, music, food, and crafting activities for adults and children are just part of the holiday fun. The event will include a special holiday stories session starting at noon. Old favorites as well as some newer holiday tales will be included. At 1:30 pm Santa will arrive by tractor. Plus there will be free tractor rides around the farm with free hot chocolate to help keep fingers warm, holiday music from 12:30 to 2:30, animals to visit, and several crafting activities and a workshop happening. The festival is free although a few crafting activities have a small fee. During the festival there will be sampling of different food items available at the farm for gift giving as well as items that can be ordered from the farm's kitchen for holiday gatherings until the kitchen closes for the season on December 31. Cider Bellies will be making their famous cider doughnuts. Treats and warm soups will also be available for purchase.
