Snow Season Fun: Horse-Drawn Sleigh Rides In New Hampshire

Monday, January 6, 2014

Valentine's Day is still more than a month off, but the recent snowfall has sparked the winter romantic in me. What is more romantic than snuggling under a blanket with your sweetie and sipping cocoa while snowflakes dance by? How about all of that while seated in a horse-drawn sleigh?! Sleigh rides are wonderfully romantic, and can make for fun family outings as well!

The NH.com Snow Fun Page includes NH Sleigh Ride Map! Simply select a mitten icon on the map, and click for more information about each sleigh ride opportunity! Or you can narrow your location search with our NH Sleigh Rides Directory.

From romantic trips for two, to group outings, cocoa to cider, snacks and bonfires, each sleigh ride location offers a unique, winter magic experience.

Charmingfare Farm trails are still brightly lit from the holiday season. They offer several bonfires, complimentary hot dogs, roasted marshmallows and hot cocoa. Hidden Hollow offers one-hour rides on wooded trails and a quiet country road. A sleigh ride at Nestlenook Estate and Resort is fun for the entire family. Enjoy the winter wonderland in a heated Austrian Sleigh as the sleigh bells are jingling, skaters glide past on their outdoor Victorian skate park, music chimes in the background, and the majestic snow capped mountains surround you. Afterward, sip hot cocoa by the fire.

There are many other wonderful sleigh ride locations and opportunities. Check out our map at NH.com/Snow-Fun! While you're there, be sure to enjoy our other winter activity resources, including a sledding hill map, an ice skating map, warm and delicious winter recipes, and much more!
