Spring break is finally here. The snow-season is most certainly behind us, and we are enjoying jacket-free days in the warming sunshine! Kids have been looking forward to spring break since February vacation ended, and NH.com has everything New Hampshire parents need to keep kids happy all week long!

Fun-Filled Activities During April School Vacation
Mon-Tues, April 28-29
Monday: Kidgits Spring Coloring Crafts. Children can choose from a variety of crafts and coloring activities to celebrate the spring season. Tuesday: Kidgits Pirate Crafts. Fun and creative pirate crafts will be offered. Ahoy, little pirates!
Vacation Day at Cowabunga's!
April 28-May 1
ALL THREE GYMS OPEN! We are excited for this vacation day and will be opening up our private gyms for bouncing fun! Admission is $10 per child. Adult and babies (non-walkers) are free. Please remember socks! Socks are required to bounce! Cowabunga's allows you to bring in your own food and drink; we just ask that it be NUT FREE and that it be consumed in the lobby. We do have snacks, ice cream, drinks and pizzas available for purchase at the front desk.
2014 Fish Festival, Featuring Dash and Splash!
Tuesday, April 29
Line up and cheer on US Fish and Wildlife biologists when they deliver adult broodstock salmon, or other trout species, to stock our fish ladder at 10 am. The wild fish have yet to swim up the Merrimack River, but the ladder is running and there will be fish in our window for up-close and personal viewing while we wait. Fish stocking will be followed by fish crafts, fish hats, fish games, and fish fun...lots of fishy fun!
April 29-May 4
The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps is hosting a carnival at the Pheasant Lane Mall during school vacation. The Carnival will be open at 1pm daily and will have rides, food and fun!

Kidgits Lil' Planet Helpers!

Kidgits members can decorate their own plant pots and fill them with soil and seeds to start their very own seedlings, then bring them home and watch them grow! There will also be a fun coloring activity for the children to do while learning ways to keep their environment clean and healthy.
Celebrate May Day! (Fishways Funday)

May is finally here, with longer days, sunlight, flowers and new life! Celebrate this wonderful season with us at the Fishways as we engage in traditional May Day festivities, games and crafts. We'll even make a May basket to take home to surprise a friend.
Dollar Deal Nights

Children's Museum of New Hampshire: All families are welcome to play and learn together. Admission for these special evening hours is $1 per person for everyone over the age of 12 months. Free for Members. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Children's Museum of NH 5K Road Race and Fun Run
Saturday, May 3
This is the sixth year the museum has held its fundraising race in downtown Dover. Post-race activities, including an awards ceremony and refreshments, will take place in Henry Law Park following the race.
Family Fun Day!

Family Fun Day is a free event offered to the public twice a year. A free will donation of $1.00 per person keeps this event going. The overall event focuses on health & fitness, safety, and literacy for children and their families. There is a large section of the event dedicated to health and fitness including free samples of nutritious foods and beverages, and easy and fun ways to stay active and play. Family Fun Day offers all day live entertainment, costume characters and team mascots, bounce houses, obstacle course, safety scavenger hunt, baseball pitching station, hockey shoot-out, coloring contest, face painting, balloon art, princess characters, and so much more.
20th Annual Peeper 5K Run/Walk
Saturday, May 3
Come join the fun and help us reach our goal for funding our Chamber Scholarship Awards! Cash prizes to top three male/female overall adult winners: $150/$100/$50, and $100 for overall Masters (35+). Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place youth winners and Barrington Elementary (K-4) and Middle School (5-8) students. Amateur student athletes who win in the top three overall (adult) categories will get a gift certificate equal to the cash award. There will be complimentary pre- and post-race massages available to participants, and everyone will be able to sample from our "famous" free baked goods and refreshments! Do not forget, anyone entering is also eligible to win a free raffle prizes given away at the end of the event!
