What To Do In NH This Weekend: More Fireworks, Independence Festival, Car Show, & Craft Fairs

The Telegraph's 8th annual Motor Mania is cruising through town on Saturday, July 12th, with classic cars, motorcycles, an assortment of trophies and more! The event is free to attend and enjoy! Trophies will be awarded in a number of categories including: Best Antique Car, Best Street Rod, Best Muscle Car, Best Foreign Car, Special Interest, Best Custom Car, Best Truck, and Best Motorcycle. There will also be additional prizes for Publisher's Pick, People's Choice, and Best in Show. All event attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite vehicle.

This weekend hosts a number of rescheduled Fourth of July fireworks displays, as well as other fantastic fairs and festivals! On Saturday, July 12, Pelham and Grafton will both hold their Independence Day festivities and fireworks, and Exeter's popular American Independence Festival will include live music, food, shopping, reenactments, a rubber ducky race, and more!

Craft fairs abound this weekend; shop local at the GFWC NH Summer Craft Fair in Exeter, the Monadnock Crafters Guild's Craft Madness! in Peterborough, the 25th Annual Craft Fair at the Bay in Alton, and On The Green I Arts & Crafts Festival in Wolfeboro. American Independence Festival

The Exeter Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the fireworks and band concert following the American Independence Festival. The festival is an all day event, including food, shopping, Revolutionary War reenactments, and more. This wonderful festival finishes up with live music by SoulMate at 6:45pm and fireworks at dusk in Swasey Parkway.

Rubber Duck Race at American Independence Festival

As part of Exeter's American Independence Festival on July 12, Southern District YMCA will host a rubber duck race down the Squamscott River. All proceeds from rubber duck sales benefit year-round scholarships for local children to attend Southern District YMCA programs. Purchase a chance to cheer on your rubber duck in the hottest race of the summer, and make a difference in a child's life! Buy one duck for $5, or get 3 ducks for $10. Yours could be the lucky duck who wins the race! Prizes will be awarded to the first 5 ducks to cross the finish line. 1st prize is $200!
