New blog focus on a favorite food staple: pizza
Thursday, April 15, 2010
It’s hard to imagine anyone not liking pizza. After all, how can you find a more perfect food than one that consists of a warm, doughy crust topped with sweet, chunky tomato sauce and fresh, gooey cheese?
The only complicated thing about pizza is that there has to be at least a couple hundred pizza places in New Hampshire so deciding where to dine is no easy task.
Luckily, the complexity of the pizza conundrum has just been simplified.
I was poking around on Facebook the other day and saw that one of my Telegraph coworkers and her hubby have started a new blog called Slice of NH. The blog focuses on pizza reviews and carefully breaks down everything a person would need to know before deciding where to order a pizza: price, ambiance, topping selection and crust descriptions.
It’s a blog sent straight from comfort food heaven to answer your prayers and lead you in the right, cheesy direction.
The writers, Andrew and Deidre, are newlyweds who enjoy spending time together but have different interests; Andrew loves sports while Deidre is more about Lifetime movies. Their common passion, food, unites them and pizza, the ultimate food, is something they can always bond over. They try to eat out at a different pizza restaurant each week and Slice of NH details the high and low points of each visit. Not to mention the great description of the ingredients and flavors will have your mouth watering and stomach craving before you finish reading each entry.
The couple, who are both originally from Massachusetts, has a goal of visiting the majority of pizza shops and discovering the great tastes of their adopted Granite State. In their spare time, Andrew and Deidre hit the gym to work off all that cheesy, crusty goodness they devour. Or, as Deidre's mom would say, so they "don't turn into a pizza."
If you have a favorite spot, you’re encouraged to let Deidre and Andrew know about it and feel free to leave them feedback on the blog or follow them on Twitter. And if you’re looking for ideas on where you can find a great slice of pizza, we have a pretty comprehensive list of NH pizza places here on NH.com.
