Michelle is the Digital Media Producer for The Telegraph and NH.com. She spends her workdays searching for things to do in New Hampshire and then putting them into the NH.com event calendar. Michelle is originally from St. Louis but has been in New Hampshire for over 15 years, "I love my home state, but New Hampshire has the mountains, the seacoast and perfect summer days!" She is the mother of 5 children varying in age from 20 to 8 and loves to find inexpensive things to do with her kids. Michelle enjoys New Hampshire's music scene and is always on the lookout for new bands and new places to enjoy them. She also enjoys her dogs, cats and, when possible, a day of nothing but movies and sleeping!
Free Comic Book Day and Granicon in New Hampshire this May

Saturday May 1 is National Free Comic Book day! Participating comic book stores statewide will have free comic books available for folks who come into their stores. In Rochester, New Hampshire many local business are participating in The Rochester Free Comic Book Day Festival sponsored by JetPack Comics.
Comic books are an original American art form, created in the early days of the twentieth century. They are fun to read, featuring a wide range of diverse story lines that capture the imagination of the readers. The Rochester Free Comic Book Day Festival takes in downtown Rochester from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You'll want to stop by Jetpack Comics, The Knight of Columbus Hall, The Cafe at the Governor's Inn as well as dozens of other downtown businesses for free comic books and more. There will be Star Wars characters at the Knights of Columbus Hall, where you can get your picture taken with a Strom Trooper. Comic creator, children's author and novelist Tom Sniegoski will also be there to sign copies of his work. Organizers encourage everyone to come dressed for this special occasion! Also this month is The Granite State Comicon, New England's premier comic book convention, May 23rd at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester. This event is sponsored by Double Midnight Comics & Collectibles in Manchester. Entry is $7:00 and kids younger than 10 are admitted free! All people that come in costume get in free! Granitecon is proud to feature guests: Ron Garney, Tim Seeley, Becky Cloonan, Khoi Pham, Craig Rousseau, Charles Paul Wilson III, and Chris Moreno.
