These aren’t your average girls next door. These chicks look sweet and innocent but they are tough and they’re darn proud of it. The chicks I’m talking about are the gals from the ManchVegas Roller Girls (MVRG) team, New Hampshire’s official hometown roller derby team.

The MVRG will host their second bout of the season with the New Jersey’s Skyland Roller Girls on Saturday, May 15 at 6pm at the West Side Arena in Manchester. Tickets for the bout are $10 for general admission and can be bought at the door the evening of the event.

For those who are unfamiliar, MVRG events are family-friendly and the girls are committed to strengthening the community and the sport of roller derby, meaning that those of all ages are invited and encouraged to attend MVRG bouts.

In addition to watching and cheering on Manchester’s hometown derby girls as they take on Skyland, those in attendance will also be treated to a performance by the official band of the MVRG, Kelley Morris and The Fallen Free of Gilmanton.

The first bout, held on April 17, sold out and nearly 200 people were turned away so be sure to order tickets online or get there early on May 15 to ensure that you have a seat for the hottest event of the weekend. Doors open at 5pm and the West Side Arena is located at 1 Electric Street in Manchester.
