Beatlemania is coming to the Fisher Cat’s stadium in Manchester

Monday, August 9, 2010

Just when you thought nightlife in New Hampshire couldn't get any better I've got some exciting news. On Thursday, August 12 the NH Fisher Cat's home, Merchantsauto.com Stadium, will open its doors (err...gates?) to music lovers and offer a truly unique concert opportunity. 1964 The Tribute, a Beatles cover band, will play at the baseball stadium for a special one-night-only concert.

For those who are unfamiliar, 1964 The Tribute is a fantastic tribute band who has been together since the 1980s and has been named "The Best Beatles Tribute on Earth" by Rolling Stone Magazine. 1964 not only sounds like the Fab Four but they really re-create the early 1960's Beatles with instruments, clothing and hairstyles. Actually, if you looked quickly at a photo of the band you probably thought it was the real Beatles.

The concert is being brought to fans by special coordination between The Palace Theater and the Stadium. "We are thrilled to be able to respond creatively to the entertainment needs of our Palace Theatre patrons and community and are proud to work with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to bring '1964...The Tribute' to New Hampshire," said Palace Theatre President, Peter E. Ramsey.

"The Beatles' music transcends generations with a number of hits familiar to people of all ages, and '1964...The Tribute' captures the time when John, Paul, George and Ringo were the most famous people on earth," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "Their memorable songs and tremendous stage presence fit in nicely with the Fisher Cats' model of affordable family entertainment, and we look forward to giving our fans an opportunity to see this show on August 12."

The band will hit the stage at 7pm on August 12 and tickets are only $10 for general admission seating. Immediately following the end of the concert there will be a fireworks show. For those looking to attend, tickets can be purchased through the Fisher Cats ticket office by calling (603) 641-2005 or visiting them online at nhfishercats.com.
