She is happily married and a proud mama of two perfect little boys and is motivated to alert New Hampshirites to the hottest goings-on in the state. Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end of another fabulous summer season. This long weekend will carry us into September. After one short leap, we will fall, with the leaves, into autumn.

Simon Kidgits Club to Host Back to School Event at Pheasant Lane Mall

Families are invited to score an "A+" in preparedness and entertainment with Simon Kidgits Club's annual Back-to-School event on Saturday, August 31st. Simon Kidgits Club's Back-to-School event will feature a variety of interactive activities for children and valuable offers for adults, all designed to make transitioning into academic routines a little easier. Kids will be more than prepared to hit the books after attending this Back-To-School event.
Guided Historic Walking Tours of Dover
Saturdays Through September 28
On the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce's Guided Tours of Historic Dover you will stroll down the Central Avenue Business District while learning about the rise and fall of the textile industry, "Dover's Black Day," and notable visitors and residents of Dover's past. You will also visit the Cochecho, Bellamy and Piscataqua Rivers that gave Dover its economic advantage, from ship building, to farming, to leading the way in cotton manufactured goods from the 1820s to 1880s. Along the way you will notice the ten different types of architecture used through the City dating back to the late 1700s.

Remember the fun of the drive-in? Well, it's back and better than ever (minus your car, of course). Now you can enjoy some of your favorite movies under the stars in Prescott Park. You'll find a giant screen on our stage, incredible sound, HD projector, and concessions to snack on while you enjoy a movie on a blanket, chair (bring your own, or use one of ours), or at one of our tables. The park will open at 7:00 pm and the movie will start at dusk.

We also work to connect musicians with musicians and with local venues; with the goal of generating more venues for homegrown music. Antique Appraisal Day with John Bruno from Market Warriors

John Bruno from the PBS television show Market Warriors will be the guest appraiser on site for the day. John is recognized as an authority on Post-War Modern and is a founding member of the Association of On-Line Appraisers. Along with Market Warriors, John has been featured on ABC News as a Super Collector and Antiques Authority, amongst many other shows in his fifty year career in the antiques business. There is a $5.00 per item fee for this service - donated to local charities - with a two item limit per person. Please note - appraisals will not be performed on coins, paper money, stamps, and precious stones & jewelry. Cameos, watches, costume jewelry, etc are fine. This will be a fun afternoon for the whole family; food vendors will be on site as well.

The Lancaster Fair is known at the largest, fun-filled family event in the Great North Woods Region. The Lancaster Fair has been entertaining audiences for over 135 years and is one of New Hampshire's best Labor Day extravaganzas. Fair festivities include agriculture demonstrations, exhibits and activities, a large midway, 4-H exhibits, music entertainment and motorized competitions, a demolition derby, and plenty of the best fair food.
