Michelle is originally from St. Louis but has been in New Hampshire for over 15 years, "I love my home state, but New Hampshire has the mountains, the seacoast and perfect summer days!" She is the mother of 5 children varying in age from 20 to 8 and loves to find inexpensive things to do with her kids. Michelle enjoys New Hampshire's music scene and is always on the lookout for new bands and new places to enjoy them. She also enjoys her dogs, cats and, when possible, a day of nothing but movies and sleeping!

Laconia Multicultural Market Day Map

This Saturday, Laconia hosts its 9th annual Multicultural Market Day. This day-long festival celebrates the growing diversity of the Lakes region with arts, crafts, and cuisine from the 35 different countries now represented by political refugees and immigrants from around the world. Organizers expect more than 3000 people to attend this year to sample the wide variety of ethnic food and music.

Laconia Multicultural Market Day was founded by the Laconia Human Relations Committee which was established in 2000 by the Laconia City Council. It is a recognized resource through-out the Lakes Region and New Hampshire on diversity issues. The Multicultural Market Day Committee meets throughout the year to plan this event. We welcome any who wish to volunteer or join us.
