I don't know about the rest of you but I can't believe 2010 is over. What an absolutely tremendous year it's been here at NH.com and we hope you all had a great year too.
For those looking for something different to do to ring in 2011 there are some great events happening throughout the state. We've listed some of our favorites below but, of course, be sure to check out nhevents.com for all events happening this New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

New Year's Bash for Families - Children's Museum, Dover
This festive event runs from 10 am - 3 pm and includes three special "countdowns to midnight" held at 11 am, 12:30 pm and 2 pm. At each countdown, a glittering ball drops 30 feet from the ceiling as everyone counts down the last ten seconds of the year. Noisemakers, party horns and confetti create an atmosphere like Times Square, and ginger ale is served to all for the first toast of the New Year. Visitors are also invited to make their own sparkly party hats and write their wishes for the New Year on mini flying blimps that are launched at each countdown.
New Year's In Motion - Pats Peak, Henniker
This New Year's Eve Celebration will feature skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, 2-hour comedy show, Monte Carlo for raffles prizes, dancing to a live band, tasting stations, party favors, champagne toast and a midnight fireworks display. The party begins at 6pm, and the slopes are open until 10pm. Guests are invited to enjoy a range of entertainment that's suitable for families.
New Year's Eve Comedy with Jimmy Dunn - King's Court, Hudson
Jimmy Dunn (Comics Come Home, NESN Comedy All-Stars, commercials for Seacoast Harley-Davidson, Olympia Sports & more) headlines an all-star show that also features Steve Bjork and Maria Ciampa. Doors open at 6 pm. Showtime 8 pm.
Family New Year's Eve Party - The Discovery Stop, Londonderry

ENGLISH BEAT New Years Eve show - Tupelo Music Hall, Londonderry
Ska punk legends The English Beat perform NYE show in Londonderry.
Recycled Percussion - Palace Theatre, Manchester
Legendary New Hampshire drumming group "RECYCLED PERCUSSION" returns to the Palace Theatre for another incredible turbo-charged performance. Featuring an entirely new show that sets the standard for high-energy, mind-blowing drumming, after their stellar appearance on "America's Got Talent" and a show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Recycled Percussion returns home once again to perform for the Palace Audience on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
First Night Portsmouth - downtown Portsmouth
Portsmouth became a First Night community in 1986 - we are one of two remaining towns in New Hampshire that celebrates First Night with music, dance, fireworks and ice sculpture. The event is non-alcoholic, non-smoking and features activities and performances that appeal to all ages.
Waterville Valley New Year's Celebration - Town Square, Waterville Valley
Sleigh rides; indoor ice arena, events at WV Recreation Department and throughout town square. Entertainment at local restaurants. 7:30pm town square, fireworks display.
First Night Wolfeboro - downtown Wolfeboro
Join Wolfeboro for an evening of family fun and activities. Admission is granted with the purchase of a First Night Wolfeboro button and the button includes most events and entertainment. There is a parade, ice skating, live music, fireworks and more.
New Year's Eve Bash - Cannon Mountain, Franconia

Gunstock Rocks New Years Eve - Gunstock Mountain, Gilford
The entire mountain is open for you to enjoy! Skiing, Riding, Tubing, Snowshoeing Tours, Sleigh Rides and more, including the first Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge at Night! Tickets go on sale at 4PM on New Year's Eve. The event ends at Midnight with a fireworks show on the mountain.
New Years Eve Family Celebration - King Pine Ski Area, Madison
