NH Things to Do Memorial Day Weekend
Friday, May 24, 2013
This is our final May weekend for 2013! Summer is just around the corner, and many will celebrate this Memorial Day weekend with family, and barbecues. While Memorial Day weekend usually kicks of BBQ season, make sure you take some time to remember the cost of our freedom. Take some time to honor those who have fallen in the line of service, and thank every veteran you know for putting their lives on the line.
We are still gathering as many Memorial Day parade, ceremony, service, and fireworks events as we can find. Many celebrations are on Monday, so check in to see if your town is listed. If you have information for a town we don't have, please send it to email@example.com; we want everyone to have the opportunity to honor our heroes!
Some Memorial Day celebrations will be held before Monday, those are included below with this weekend's events! Along with a few early parades, Canobie Lake Park will offer a discount to anyone presenting his or her valid U.S. Government-issued military or veteran identification, and the Auburn Bazaar will have fireworks, fair food vendors, live music, petting zoo, craft vendors, reptile farm, bounce houses, clowns, raffles and much more!
As you make plans for your long weekend, add the following to your check-list: Enjoy your family, honor those who have served, and thank a soldier.
Happy Memorial Day, New Hampshire! From NH.com, to the families of fallen soldiers, we salute you and the sacrifice you and your loved ones have made for our country's freedom.
