First 2012 Weekend! Things To Do In NH

Welcome to the first ever 2012 weekend! The weather is getting pretty chilly, but there is still plenty of New Hampshire fun to warm even the most blustery day!

Rev-up indoors at Monster Jam in Manchester this weekend and watch the beastly vehicles measuring 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide! Plenty of family fun also in store at the Rockingham Fishing & Hunting Expo with children's day on Sunday and door prizes every hour! The Children's Museum of New Hampshire will also host a Free Family Fun Night this weekend with lots to explore in the warm indoors!

Feeling adventurous and want to hit the chilly slopes? Cranmore Mountain is open for multiple events this weekend including the Great Penguin Race and Cranapalooza among others!

Indoors or out, I hope your first New Hampshire weekend in 2012 is fantastic! Stay warm!

Monster Jam trucks are approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, and are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. The Monster Jam shows consist of three main fan-favorite elements-the pit party, racing and freestyle. The pit party gives all fans a chance to meet the stars of Monster Jam up-close while taking pictures and getting autographs.

Christmas is over, the decorations are put away...what to do with your Christmas tree? Let Troop 20 take it off your hands! On January 7 and January 14 the Boy Scouts of Troop 20 will be making the rounds in Hudson picking up used Christmas trees. For a $7 suggested donation (cash or checks made payable to BSA Troop 20) our crew will happily remove your tree for you.

Purchase a rubber penguin for $5 and race it down the slope, where all proceeds benefit the Mount Washington Valley Children's Museum. As a seperate Artistic Judging Catagory this year, we will be letting contestants Modifiy their individual Penguins. Because of all the hard work and effort that will be put into these Masterpieces, we decided to just Display these works of art and not let them get damaged on the race course.
