Things To Do In NH This Weekend

Friday, January 13, 2012

It's finally starting to look like winter outside! Though I balked at Thursday's slick driving conditions, I was giddy to watch the snow falling outside my window all day.

Now that we're all in the winter mood, it's time for some of New Hampshire's great wintry events. Stop by the Uniquely NH Winter Market in Bedford on Saturday for a lovely gourmet food and fine artisan goods selection. Holderness is a cool destination this Saturday with Winterfest from 12pm-3pm. Activities include pond hockey, oval skating, Nordic skate demos, snowshoe demos, sledding, groomed cross-country skiing, and winter mini-golf, hot cocoa and foods are available, including restaurant chili samples for the Chili Contest!

After you fill up on chili in Holderness, visit Concord for the second annual New Hampshire's Own Macaroni and Cheese Bake Off ! Sample your way through gooey-cheesy delights as entrants compete for Best NH Made, Best Traditional, Most Creative and Exotic and Best Restaurant Mac & Cheese!
