What To Do In NH This First Winter Weekend: Craft Fairs, Santa Claus, Holiday Games, & More!

Friday, December 20, 2013

Tomorrow is the first day of winter! Happy Winter Solstice, everyone! As more winter holidays approach and our seasonal snow has finally stuck, New Hampshire becomes a little quieter--despite the shopping madness--with the hum of family warmth. Many businesses will close down for Christmas, but that doesn't mean that we're lacking in winter activities around The Granite State!

There are some last minute craft fairs this weekend, and many lighted displays to visit and walk at your leisure! There is also a great Holiday Gift-Making Workshop at the Children's Museum of NH to get kids into the giving spirit! Visit with Santa and his reindeer at Santa's Big Party before he makes a special visit with you next week!

If you're in the mood for some fun holiday facts and trivia games, check out Price List: 12 Days of Christmas to see how much it would cost to buy all of the gifts mentioned in The 12 Days of Christmas song. Also, a reader favorite this year is our Holiday Carol Trivia Word Game! Test your vocabulary and your holiday song knowledge with this fun trivia game! Printable trivia question and answer sheets are available to bring to your holiday parties!

Have a safe and happy weekend!
