Top 10 Most Common New Year's Resolutions & Goals For 2012-2013
Monday, December 31, 2012
As 2012 winds to a close we begin to contemplate our aspirations for the year to come. Springtime is for cleaning your house; New Year's is for cleaning your soul.
A couple of our Facebook fans shared their resolutions with us. Kat says hers is "To rid myself of people who aren't bringing any joy to my life," and Cindy's is "not to make a resolution." Do you share these resolutions (or anti-resolutions)?
Below are the top ten most common New Year's resolutions (in no hierarchal order). They seem pretty similar to last year's top ten; the only shift seems to be between "Managing Stress" and "Treating Yourself." Hopefully, this change reflects a drop in stress, perhaps a change in the economy or job market? What are your thoughts?
♦ Quit smoking
♦ Spend more time with family
♦ Get a better education
♦ Get a better job
♦ Manage debt and/or save money
♦ Lose weight and/or get fit
♦ Treat Yourself (replace manage stress)
♦ Drink less alcohol
♦ Volunteer
♦ Travel
Have you ever aspired to one of these resolutions before? How did you do? Are any of these on your list for 2013? Do you have different resolutions? Share your New Year's resolutions below.
