Got Snow?! After our post-holiday powder, I'm sure many Granite Staters are craving the slopes! Check out our Ski NH Page for news and info on your favorite mountains!

I always find the end of the year (December 26-31) quite jarring. I've been listening to holiday music on the radio and watching winter specials on TV since before Thanksgiving, but as soon as Boxing Day hits, it's over! If you're like me, and could use a slow decline from the holiday-high, there are some great events and attractions still open in NH for your festive pleasure! Check out this weekend's lineup below and find more at NHEvents.com! And if you're looking for New Year's events, we've added a special section to our Snow-Fun Page! Read more here!

New Year's Eve Celebration
Dover, NH

Why wait up until midnight to welcome the New Year? Children and their families can ring in 2014 while the sun is still shining at the Children's Museum of NH's annual daytime Family New Year's Eve Celebration on Tuesday, December 31. This festive event runs from 10 am - 3 pm and includes three special "countdowns to midnight" held at 11 am, 12:30 pm and 2 pm. At each countdown, a glittering ball drops 30 feet from the ceiling as everyone counts down the last ten seconds of the year. Noisemakers and confetti create an atmosphere like Times Square, and everyone can toast with bubbly ginger ale in plastic champagne glasses. Visitors are also invited to make their own sparkly party hats and write their wishes for the coming year on mini flying blimps that are launched at each countdown.
