Warm To Winter Weather: Drink Under The Stars At 3rd Annual Ice Bar
Monday, January 28, 2013
With wind-chill factoring in, I have become rather bitter toward this bitter weather. But, when you can't beat it, join it! These frigid temperatures are prime for polished and glistening, drinking events--You guessed it; I'm talking ICE BAR!
Billed as one of the "Largest Ice Bars in the Country," The Bedford Village Inn proudly announced its third annual Ice Bar event. The 2013 Svedka Ice Bar will be held at The Bedford Village Inn, 2 Olde Bedford Way Bedford, NH, Tuesday, January 29th, through Saturday, February 2nd, from 5:30 pm to 10pm. Admission is $5 for 1 night or $15 for unlimited access.
Last year the Ice Bar was 30,000 pounds and garnered a sellout crowd - this year it is back, with a vengeance. Bedford Village Inn is promising their Ice Bar will be bigger and better than ever with 50,000 pounds of ice constructed into three separate bars in the outdoor, central courtyard, surrounded by various ice luges, and carvings, including 6,000 pound show piece, for photo opportunities. The theme is "The Year of The Shark!" and the event will feature all new drink menu with "the best martinis ever" using premier Svedka Vodka. Ice cold beer on tap and wine by the glass is also available.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings will be livened by DJ entertainment, and the Josh Logan Band will return to this year's event with Thursday through Saturday performances. The entire courtyard will be illuminated by a full color light show adding magic and dimension to the crystal ice carvings.
Dressing in layers for warmth is strongly recommended, but there will be hot food and drink available to keep you from freezing! Chillin' and Grillin' food court on the patio with sausage and peppers and chicken skewers, and hot chocolate "spirited" drinks will be served.
This event is sure to thaw even the bitterest winter-animosity! Enjoy the entertainment, the glittering sculptures, and sip a cold drink made under the stars.
