Drink Up At 10-Day Beer Week Festival

There is still time to join in the 5th Annual Portsmouth Beer Week festivities! The celebration began last Saturday, February 22nd, and continues through Monday, March 3th. The 10-day event series is once again produced by 2Beerguys.com and Seacoast Beverage Lab, along with a team of local businesses. Portsmouth Beer Week events will be held at various Portsmouth locations through Monday.
Beyond a stated "love for beer," the Beer Week goal is to increase Portsmouth's footprint on the national craft beer map. Local breweries (including Portsmouth Brewery, Smuttynose, Redhook, and Throwback) and some regional brewers are providing some unique craft beer offerings, as well as beer-centric events, including: tours, tappings, tastings, beer & wine dinners, and more!

At lunch time we'll begin serving a cask-conditioned firkin of our collaborative red rye IPA, brewed with new kids on the block, Stoneface Brewing. This cask is dry-hopped with Amarillo and Citra hops because, HOPS!

We offer regular tours Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and can plan group tours any day of the week. Tickets are $55 and includes transportation to each brewery, beer tastings, exclusive brewery tours, Q&A with the brewers, a snack, water, coolers full of ice to keep your growlers cold, prizes, and a lot of fun. Eat a hearty breakfast before these tours, we will have pretzels but there isn't a stop for lunch. The Community Oven, recognizing we'll be ready for some good food and possibly more beer, will reserve a table for those wanting a meal after the tour.

Get Buzzed at the Press Room!

We're raising funds for Press Room bartender Jesse McMahon, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. All you have to do is collect pledges ahead of time and then get your head shaved at the bar between 3pm and 5pm. Don't worry, brewers won't actually do the shearing; they'll be watching while professionals do the work. Attendees will enjoy cask conditioned, vintage and barrel-aged beers to soften the blow of losing your hair. Visit the Press Room for sponsorship details and sign-up sheets. BONUS PRIZE: Anyone who raises over $25 and shaves their head will receive a VIP tour of the NEW Smuttynose brewery and prize pack that includes a Smuttynose hat... for your new hairdo!

Reserve your spot on the Brewery Brunch Bus! The Granite State Growler Tours bus departs WHYM at 11am to visit the all new Smuttynose Brewing Co. After the tour (with free samples) we will head back to WHYM for a pint of cask conditioned Robust Porter and brunch! The cost is just $35.00 for all of these wonderful experiences! Tickets can only be purchased at WHYM and is limited to 30 people will get tickets, so act fast. If you don't make the bus, you can still enjoy the brunch, starting at 1pm. Royal Impy Stout release

Our imperial stout will be on tap at 11:30am, when we open our doors. We're also packaging 2014′s release in cage and corked 375ml bottles; it's a classy package for a classy beer.
We're only bottling 93 gallons of it this year, a smaller number than last year, so make sure to pick up your bottles early. Each bottle retails for $10 and there's an 8 bottle limit.
