This is the last weekend before spring! New Hampshire is buzzing with anticipation. Our daytimes are growing longer, and there is still sunshine at the end of the workday! This Sunday is St. Patrick's Day! If you're Irish, or in my case Irish-by-marriage, or if you just like shamrocks, enjoy these recipes for a Green Food Party, fun for the whole family!
Maple sugar season is upon us, with the official opening next weekend. 6th Annual CHaD Battle of the Badges All-Star Hockey Championship

The Battle of the Badges event is nearing the $1 MILLION mark as it enters its 6th year! The best of the red and blue are joining forces to reach this goal for the kids at CHaD in the Battle of Badges All-Star Hockey Championship! Firefighters and Police bring their passion and skills to the ice in this highly competitive game of "Good vs. Good", to support vital programs and services at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. You too can join the battle by supporting a Player or starting your own Battle of the Badges Team.

Model Matzah Bakery

Dressed in baker's hats, participants will re-enact the process of manufacturing Matzah, from grinding the flour to kneading the dough, to baking the Matzahs on a stone oven, all within 18 minutes, the time limit in which Matzah must be made. This event has added holiday spirit, fun and education for all who have attended in the past.

From tapping a tree to tasting delicious maple syrup, you will learn from hands-on participation in the complete Old Time sugaring process. You will build tree ID skills and learn the parts of a tree and their functions, use measuring tools to find an appropriate tree to tap, see and use historical and modern tree tapping tools, learn the history of maple sugaring including Native American legends, and discover the math and chemical/physical science in the boiling process.
