Come see teamsters race on our course as they collect "sap" as quickly as possible. The tradition of boiling sap into maple syrup has been a New England tradition for generations. From tapping a tree to tasting delicious maple syrup, you will learn from hands-on participation in the complete Old Time sugaring process. You will build tree ID skills and learn the parts of a tree and their functions, use measuring tools to find an appropriate tree to tap, see and use historical and modern tree tapping tools, learn the history of maple sugaring including Native American legends, and discover the math and chemical/physical science in the boiling process.
