Lost River Gorge is another New Hampshire glacial gift. The area's glacier activity formed this natural wonder thousands of years ago. A self-guided tour and walkway help you through the granite crevasses, caverns and waterfalls. The tour lasts about an hour, and the Lost River comes in and out of view along the way. A great place for botanists, the Lost River Gorge has more than 300 varieties of flowers, ferns and shrubs.
