Dixville Notch is the northernmost and the smallest of the state's notches. Enjoy waterfalls and a scenic gorge on the two mountain brooks within the 137 acres of park land. Hiking trails for Table Rock begin here. Called Table Rock because it's no wider than a table, this rock platform extends out from the north side of Mount Gloriette. It's 2,700 feet high, and on clear days successful hikers will get great views of the Balsams Wilderness Resort and Lake Gloriette. Two excellent roadside picnic sites make this a favorite place to stop the car and take a break. Pets are welcome.Activities: Hiking, picnickingFee: NoneDixville Notch State Park is unstaffed but is open to the public year-round at no charge.Operation Schedule: Year-roundAcreage: 127 acres
