This 401-acre state park is a favorite with campers, but it's also a great spot for a daytrip. Rent a boat or enjoy the beach in summer. Cross-country ski or snowmobile in winter. Greenfield is a favorite of families living in the Monadnock region. Activities: Camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, picnickingSwimming, fishing, and hiking, as well as hiking at nearby Mount Monadnock, are favorite activities of campers at Greenfield State Park and a 900-foot beach for campers only, canoe and kayak rentals, a camp store, a dump station, and showers are available.Amenities: Bathhouse, boat launch, canoe/paddleboat rentals, picnic tablesFees:Daytime Use: Admission is $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free.Camping: $24 (no hookups). Rates cover two adults and children under 18 on the site. Each additional adult is charged ½ the site fee per person per night. Each additional adult at the cabins is $7 per person per night. The maximum number of adults per site is 4, except in designated areas.Operation Schedule: The day-use area of the park is open weekends only starting Memorial Day weekend, then full-time, 10:00am - 8:00pm, from June 20 through September 1, 2008, weather permitting. The lifeguard schedule is to be determined.Acreage: 401 acresWaterfront: Otter LakeNumber of Campsites: 252 and 5 youth group sitesPets: Pets are permitted in designated areas such as campsites. Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times and are not permitted on the beaches.
