This 2,893-acre park is at the northern end of Lake Sunapee. It's best known for downhill skiing in winter and fishing in summer. You can hike or ride the chairlift to the 2,743-foot summit for spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, lakes and valleys. Enjoy the beach at Lake Sunapee or take the 1-mile Solitude Trail to the White Ledges over Lake Solitude. Adventurous (and very fit) hikers can attempt the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway trail connecting Mount Sunapee with Mount Monadnock. Activities: Swimming, picnicking, fishing, boating, hiking, skiing, mountain bikingAmenities: Bathhouse, picnic tables, boat launch, canoe/kyak rentals, chairlift rides, full service ski areaDay Use Fee: $4 for adults; $2 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free.Beach Operation Schedule: The park is open weekends only starting Memorial Day weekend (May 24 - 26), then full-time, 9:30am - 7:30pm, from June 21 through September 1, 2008, weather permitting.
