This is an amazing spot, very out of the way but well worth the drive. Ice-age potholes, worn and sculpted by the effects of roiling water and whirling stone, make a stunning centerpiece for this pleasant, shady spot. A bridge spans the river and a woods road allows for walking, but most people never get past the water. Take your shoes off and wade, at least, or jump in if you're brave and hardy. There are no services here at all so make a bathroom break before you leave civilization behind. Pets welcome.
Don't Miss
