Granite State Stoneman Strongman will Hold Setting the Record Straight 2 on January 16 in Nashua
Many of the region’s top strongman athletes will be competing at the Setting the Record Straight 2 strongman challenge on Saturday January 16 to raise money for the veterans living in the transitional housing program run by Harbor Homes in Nashua. The competition will take place at The Ultimate Fitness Facility (T.U.F.F.), 145A Temple Street in Nashua, beginning at 11 am. The Granite State Stoneman Strongman Group is sanctioned by the North American Strongman, Inc.
Community members are invited to come spend the morning cheering on athletes when they compete in events to set and break official New Hampshire’s state records in Strongman events –the Log Press, 15 inch Deadlift, and the Stones of Strength over a fixed height bar. Entrance to the event is $5, all of which will go to Harbor Homes. Last year Frank Harwood of Western Massachusetts set records that challenge the national records such as a 370lb log and 900lb deadlift.
Proceeds of the event will benefit Harbor Homes Veterans FIRST Program which provides a second chance for homeless honorably discharged veterans. This will be the fourth charity event benefiting Harbor Homes Veterans FIRST Program run by the group.
